Whether you’re volunteering at HQ, knocking doors, making calls, texting, placing lawn signs or none of the above, here’s a dose of good news — and some reassurance that we’re on track to deliver this county for Aaron Gies.
Updates to canvassing and phone banking are fast and furious. Numbers we ran 2-3 weeks ago are out of date. Volunteers have knocked on over 3,000 doors, made over 1,500 canvassing phone calls, hosted three townhalls (65 ppl in Cuba, 125 in Alfred, 75 in Fillmore), and are targeting groups like the Independence and Working Families Parties and unaffiliated voters. We’re sending updates to Aaron’s campaign, and here’s our latest. When a canvassed voter tells us they’re proudly voting for Aaron, we track it in our canvassing app. Here’s a snapshot of the party affiliation on known Aaron supporters as of last week.
Aaron Gies – 1,061 people
Democrats – 933 people
Unaffiliated – 72 people
Republican – 34 people
Green – 11 people
Conservative – 4 people
Independence – 1 person
Working Families – 6 people
In the next week, we need volunteers to place lawn signs, help with a 750-pc mailing, and invite voters to the Wellsville Town Hall. On the 21st, we will move out of the “persuasion” phase of the campaign and start the GOTV (Get out the Vote) phase. This means reminding people about early voting, making sure they know polling places and hours, and asking if they need a ride to the polls. On Election day, we’ll be at HQ all day to get as many Aaron voters to the polls as we can.
Please join this group of plucky patriots and volunteer.
